The previous Charitrar was of a King being tricked by his wife into thinking his son, sexually assaulted her. So he then, threw his son into the jail by his guards. This third ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ is continuing this onto the next ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ.

ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਬੰਦਿਸਾਲ ਕੋ ਭੂਪ ਤਬ ਨਿਜੁ ਸੁਤ ਦਿਯੋ ਪਠਾਇ ॥

ਬੰਦਿਸਾਲ = ਬੰਦੀ ਖਾਨਾ (jail cell), ਭੂਪ = King. So, this dohira is saying that the king sent (ਦਿਯੋ ਪਠਾਇ) his own son (ਸੁਤ) into the ਬੰਦਿਸਾਲ (jail cell).

ਭੋਰ ਹੋਤ ਅਪਨੇ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਬਹੁਰੌ ਲਿਯੋ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥੧॥

When the sun rise (ਭੋਰ) occured, the advisors were called to meet the King to go through what they wanted to say, which was:

ਏਕ ਪੁਤ੍ਰਿਕਾ ਗ੍ਵਾਰ ਕੀ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਕਹੋ ਬਿਚਾਰ ॥

“This is the story we will tell you, which is about a daughter who is a ਗ੍ਵਾਰ (someone who doesn’t have good mat/intellect), ਤਾ ਕੋ ਕਹੋ ਬਿਚਾਰ, we are going to tell you their story.”

ਏਕ ਮੋਟਿਯਾ ਯਾਰ ਤਿਹ ਔਰ ਪਤਰਿਯਾ ਯਾਰ ॥੨॥

That ਪਤਰਿਯਾ (girl) had two boyfriends, one was someone who was fat, and one was someone who was skinny.

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਚੱਛੁਮਤੀ ਰਹੈ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਰੂਪ ਅਪਾਰ ॥

Her name is ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਚੱਛੁਮਤੀ, and she is was very beautiful (ਤਾ ਕੋ ਰੂਪ ਅਪਾਰ).

ਊਚ ਨੀਚ ਤਾਂ ਸੌ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਤਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਕਰੈ ਜੁਹਾਰ ॥੩॥

Every day, whether someone was rich or poor, they would do ਨਮਸਕਾਰ/bow down (ਜੁਹਾਰ) to her.
