ਚੋਰ ਚੋਰ ਕਹਿ ਉਠੀ ਸੁ ਆਂਗਨ ਜਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
She is at her final straw, and plays one more Charitar…This one being that she jumps out to the courtyard shouted, “thief, thief,”
ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਦਿਖਾਯੋ ਤਾਹਿ ਮਿਲਨ ਹਿਤ ਰਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
She is trying to show him fear, only because she wants his love.
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਕਹੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਆਇ ਬਾਤ ਸੁਨ ਲੀਜਿਯੈ ॥
As he refused to have make love with her,
ਹੋ ਅਬੈ ਬਧੈਹੌ ਤੋਹਿ ਕਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਭਜੀਜਿਯੈ ॥੩੧॥
She wanted to trap him. So what is this trap?
ਚੋਰ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨਿ ਲੋਗ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਆਇ ਕੈ ॥
She shouts “thief”, “thief”, so people could hear,
ਤਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਕਿ ਸੋਤ ਉਠੀ ਬਰਰਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
The people come running to her, but she tells them that she was shouting in her dream.
ਗਏ ਧਾਮ ਤੇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਕੌ ਕਰ ਪਕਰਿ ॥
When they had gone away, she held the Raja’s arm and says:
ਹੋ ਅਬੈ ਬਧੈਹੌ ਤੋਹਿ ਕਿ ਮੋ ਸੌ ਭੋਗ ਕਰਿ ॥੩੨॥
“Either you make love with me or I will get you physically hurt”
This is her showing him fear, to try and scare him (ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਦਿਖਾਯੋ ਤਾਹਿ ਮਿਲਨ ਹਿਤ ਰਾਇ ਕੈ).
