ਬਹੁਰਿ ਸੁ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਇ ਸੌ ਕਥਾ ਉਚਾਰੀ ਏਕ ॥
When the Ministers told the King this story
ਅਧਿਕ ਮੋਦ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਬਢੈ ਸੁਨਿ ਗੁਨ ਬਢੈ ਅਨੇਕ ॥੧॥
The mind became in Anand (ਅਧਿਕ ਮੋਦ) and he recieved many ਗੁਣ (qualities). Though it doesn’t specify it was the King who became in Anand, Guru Ji could be referring to us, the readers, the Khalsa too.

ਏਕ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਗਈ ਬਾਗ ਮੈ ਰਮੀ ਔਰ ਸੋ ਜਾਇ ॥
Guru Sahib Ji takes us to a garden, where a woman goes to meet her boyfriend.
ਤਹਾ ਯਾਰ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਤੁਰਤ ਦੁਤਿਯ ਪਹੂੰਚ੍ਯੋ ਆਇ ॥੨॥
While in this garden, another one of her boyfriends pops up aswell.
ਜਾਰ ਆਵਤ ਜਬ ਤਿਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਲਹਿਯੋ ॥ ਦੁਤਿਯ ਮੀਤ ਸੋ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ॥
She sees that another guy is coming to, while she is already with another one of her boyfriends so she creates a plan.
ਮਾਲੀ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਨ ਤੁਮ ਕਰੋ ॥
She tells him that when the other guy comes in, she wants him to pretend to be the ਮਾਲੀ (gardener).
ਫਲ ਫੂਲਨਿ ਆਗੇ ਲੈ ਧਰੋ ॥੩॥
She says “when this man comes in, I want you to gather fruits and flowers (ਫਲ ਫੂਲਨਿ) from this garden and bring them to us. Pretend to be a gardener until he goes away.”
